Kristin's professional experience includes five years of medical/surgical nursing and she is currently working as a registered nurse in public health and community health. She is currently a member of the World Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine-Membership Committee and a volunteer for EvidenceAid, whose mission is to inspire and enable those guiding the humanitarian sector to apply an evidence-based approach in their activities and decisions. Kristin's interests include research related community and occupational health, health policy, and the health impacts of disaster on responders and communities. Kristin's professional goal is to contribute to meaningful global health research and policy development to identify and address health inequities.

Liz is currently pursing a Master's degree in Public Health at NIU while working full-time for Baxter as a Quality Laboratory Associate. She is very knowledgeable in Public Health issues in Mexico. Liz's research interest is in the area of healthcare seeking behaviors in marginalized populations.

Maja's professional experience includes previously working on the organization of Polish hospital services, advocating for personalized healthcare, and fostering dialogue in global health education. Her international experience includes studying the issue of social exclusion from health services and the quality of qualitative public health research in India, as well as investigating community and occupational health in Myanmar. Maja's professional interests are in the areas of Global health governance, health equity and access to healthcare services, human resources for health, education of public health professionals, disaster management. Her professional goal is to address the needs of underserved populations through research and policy development.
